The Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of July 12, 2023 PF-93 «On measures to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with business entities in order to reduce poverty» provides financial support to those needing social protection.

In order to ensure the implementation of the decree, in 2022, 15 orphans, 7 children from children’s homes, 145 disabled students and 163 students from low-income families were studying in full-time at Andijan State University.

According to the order of the rector of the university dated June 21, 2022 03-55, 39 students whose families entered the program «Temir Daftar» will receive 8-fold basic scholarship (517 880 sums) (4 143 040 sums). The basic scholarship (517,880 sums) will be awarded to students who meet the criteria of Cabinet Decision 585 of 2021 (representatives of socially needy families, orphans or students without parental care). It is worth twice as much (2,071,520 sum). Four individuals were provided with 5 times the base amount (1,500,000 sum) for the purchase of educational and scientific literature.

According to the order of the rector of the University 03-141 of December 9, 2022, students who have nowhere to go during the winter holidays (orphans, students from Children’s communities), had been provided with hot meals 3 times a day and also had been invited to the New Year celebration.

According to the order of the rector of the university 03-153 of December 27, 2022, 69 students with disabilities were exempted from the fee for living in a hostel: students I, II, III degree of disability by 50%, 12 students - orphans , 100 per cent of pupils in children’s homes, 24 students in need of social protection, included in the information system «Social Protection Register», by 30 per cent, and 13 students who have lost breadwinners - by 50 per cent.

According to the order of the rector of the university 03-127 of November 25, 2022, the scholarships for 11 orphans studying at the university were increased by 50%.

According to the order of the rector of the university dated November 25, 2022 and March 27, 2023 03-37, 7 students who were brought up in children’s homes will be provided with money for food, clothing, shoes and other necessary items. According to the order of the rector of the university 03-98 of October 19, 2022, 50% of the contract amount for the 2022/2023 school year was paid in the amount of 3,650,000 sum.
